Pixelmack Presents: The Launch of TaiyeSelasi.com

Taiye Selasi, an extremely talented writer and photographer, wanted us to create a web presence to promote her work. While the site had to convey who she was, Taiye wanted the design to be extremely minimalistic, clear, and memorable. She wanted to feature minimal text and links, and the ability to feature a large amount of rich photographic imagery from her travels.

Since her vision was so unique, we decided to present the information through a single-page site featuring fixed elements, pop up navigation links, and a horizontal scrolling format. The final result is a strong, balanced,  memorable site, much like Taiye herself. Visit her site to see her beautiful work and find out more about her upcoming novel “Ghana Must Go,” touted by Salman Rushdie and Toni Morrison, and distributed through Penguin Press.
